Mankind
We conquered the stars of old, colonised the vast expanse of the Milky Way. We settled untouched planets and obtained limitless knowledge. We built monuments of triumph, empires of legend and birthed immense power. But as we thought we were untouchable; the galaxy revealed a sinister truth. Humanity left the Milky Way behind… its home and birthplace… to live another day… in a place far from home… Andromeda.
For as we thought the future of our species looked to be reborn anew, humanity entered a new dark age. The Rebirth marked a new chapter, promising prosperity and advancements, a second chance for our people to live.. But time soon ripped off the shackles around humanities bestial ankles. Brothers turned on brothers. Once bound together by sacred bonds, now lay splintered. Such alliances tore apart while crazed preachers and zealots call out to the masses from their temples, hoping to spur minds and bolster their own ambitious visions. As humanity once again tears itself apart, the many species of the uncharted galaxy start to make aspiring plans and delicate schemes. Many dispassionate eyes start to wonder, ignoring or taking advantage of the drowning beast. Seizing lost worlds and punishing the once untouchable.
Multiple millennia passed, rapid expanse in this new galaxy we call home led to degeneration and greed. Our home changed, but humanity did not. Major conflicts broke out between rivalling factions and superpowers, false Kings and Emperors rose and fell, as the power hungry schemed and thirsted for any slither of control. The dark smoke-filled rooms of the galaxy, lit by the fury of political entities, choked The Kingdom of Avalon until its death. Shadows of massive fleets swallowed entire systems, as droves of planetary ecosystems and stars were mauled and trampled by the march for war, while bullets, shells and bodies reign king across once luscious worlds, stripped clean by the hungry mouths of empty promises.
As humanity violently struggles against the dying light…
A distant but familiar predatory gaze turns to lay its emotionless eyes on the rotting corpse. Starving and filled with unimaginable rage.
The extinction of humanity is almost certain…
