The Many Stories of Rebirth
The Rebirth of Mankind has many different stories attempting to clarify the origins of humanity in this galaxy, Andromeda. Rebirth has commonly been used amongst all accounts, as the name given to signal the start of humanities second life. In this story, it signals the end to the great war between the legendary Two Gods. This war was to be known as the Eternity War. This event was to be the escape humanity needed from the relentless darkness it bought upon itself. Stories tell of colossal empires, super structures, and war machines that were so large the vastness of this conflict was scaled beyond the realms of reality. One that no mere mortal could ever comprehend with virgin eyes, fought so furiously it bought forth the raw untamed energy of the .
During the final stages of the war, a super weapon, The Castas Infinity Relay, thought to have been orbiting the holy planet of Avalon, with a purpose of eradicating all life in the Andromeda Galaxy, human or not, was fired… knew of the repercussions of firing such an immense station but knew this was the last hope humanity had to avoid total Extinction. All life was extinguished within a matter of seconds; all biological forms of the galaxy were wiped from memory. The inhabitants of Andromeda were no more. Thousands of Terran years past since this event, the countless brave souls, from an era unknown, gave everything for humanities second chance . But as fate has dictated… not all life was extinguished. Silent remains of humanities long lost history clung on to the remains. Against all the odds, humanity endured once more. The relay thought to reset all life did not only faulter in its mission to wipe out mankind but caused the rebirth of it. A new age, a new beginning, a second chance for man to start again... alas, one figure rose from the ashes, believed to be born from the last drops of blood of the gods themselves, who led the remnants of man back into the light…
Although this story is without resolve and brandished by speculation, it is believed by many within the holy and ancient orders mankind has unfortunately been riddled with in this new age. While its popularity amongst the religious population’s blossoms, there have been many other conflicting accounts of the truth behind humanities rise in Andromeda. Some of the oldest stories speak of legendary Knights leading our ancestors to a new beginning. These have been shared amongst many for generations. The Castas Infinity Relay, commonly mentioned throughout all stories many times, has been described differently by the documents of the Knights of Solace.
This Relay was thought to be a colossal super structure, told to have been orbiting the once holy planet of Mars, with a purpose of leading humanity through the vast depths of Dark Space, to our new home, The Andromeda Galaxy. This process was to take the travelling inhabitants thousands of Terran years to reach the designated target.
Selected personally and led by the last heir of REDACTED, these warriors were to ensure the fleet arrived safely to the new frontier and given strict and secretive orders, to which no soul has ever known the truth . The names of who these Knights were, are truly lost to all.
The survivors were said to have been left travelling for an unknown quantity of years, as the perception of time would be consumed by the endless expanse of the ever-hungry void. As humanity made their first contact with Andromeda… This date was to be known as Rebirth… This was the moment for mankind to rebuild and prosper once more. No one truly knows the true numbers sent to Andromeda, the ancient archives have become too damaged or impossible to decipher. One can only wonder how many poor souls are lost, stranded or adrift in the eternally empty void, if this story were truth…

The year is now 2742 AR (After Rebirth), over two thousand years since Rebirth, and 500 years after The First Great War has concluded. Humanity has spent generations attempting to rebuild its once again defeated populations. The Kingdom of Avalon has long since collapsed under brutal civil war and relentless alien attacks. Famine, war and death are part of the day to day lives of the unfortunate and abandoned clusters, while hellish incursions and marauder raids spread across the outer worlds like a raging infection.
